A. Whenever any resolution of this City designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on those streets affected by such ordinance.

B. Those streets and parts of streets established by resolution of the Council are hereby declared to be streets, the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle. The provisions of this section shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission.

C. Certain streets or portions of streets within the City of Sebastopol may hereafter or by amendment of this chapter be declared to be limited to the use of family, service and pleasure vehicles and the use thereof by vehicles for commercial purposes may be prohibited.

D. When and after appropriate signs have been installed designating such streets and prohibiting the use of said streets to trucks or other vehicles for commercial purposes, the driver of any truck or other vehicle being so used for commercial purposes shall not drive on said streets or portions thereof except when necessary for the purposes of making pick-ups or deliveries of goods, wares, and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on the restricted street or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon the restricted street for which a building permit has previously been obtained.

E. The following streets within the City of Sebastopol are herewith limited to the use of family, pleasure and service vehicles and commercial vehicles of less than 6,000 pounds gross weight:

1. Zimpher Drive.

2. Pleasant Hill Avenue North.

3. Valentine Avenue.

4. Murphy Avenue.

5. Washington Avenue between Bodega and Huntley Avenue.

6. Florence Avenue.

7. Wallace Street.

8. Sunset Avenue.

9. Taft Street.

10. Johnson Street.

11. Lyding Lane.

F. The Chief of Police may issue a revocable permit authorizing the parking of certain commercial vehicles in excess of 6,000 pounds gross weight on said streets; provided, that the Chief of Police has determined:

1. That the owner or operator of said vehicle lives on the designated street;

2. There is adequate parking in front or side of the residence of said owner or operator for said vehicle;

3. Said vehicle is not used for commercial purposes on said designated street. The permit issued hereunder may be revoked by the Chief of Police for violation of any of the conditions of this chapter or the permit.
