This chapter shall not be construed as imposing upon the City of Sebastopol (or any official or employee thereof) any liability or responsibility for damages to any property or injuries to any person resulting from defects in building construction, defective plumbing, or drainage systems (or installations thereof), electrical or gas installations, or by installations of containers for the use of flammable products, nor shall the City of Sebastopol (or any official or employee thereof) be held as assuming any such liability or responsibility for property damage from any cause whatsoever which may have been caused by a gas leakage, fire or explosion of any gas appliance or house gas piping, electrical application or electrical wiring or from the storage or use of flammable and/or hazardous materials.
