Residents seeking permission from the Chief of Police to close their neighborhood street pursuant to City Council Policy No. 64 may request in writing an exemption from SMC 9.09.020(A). If the Chief of Police, or his or her designee, determines that it will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, peace and welfare, he or she may provide the requested exemption in writing.
