A. A temporary care unit requires a temporary use permit.

B. One temporary care unit per parcel may be considered for approval by the Planning Director; more than one temporary dwelling unit per parcel shall be considered for approval by the Planning Commission.

C. The term of the temporary use permit may exceed the term provisions identified in Chapters 17.400 and 17.430 SMC. The term for a temporary use permit for a temporary care unit shall be up to one year and shall be allowed six-month extensions as long as there is a continued demonstrated need. (Ord. 1111, 2018)
